Time Study Consulting

THE NEED

Every organization wants the best from its employees. We believe the first step to improvement is simply understanding what is going on.

In the realm of employee productivity, gaining a better understanding of how time and activities are allocated can be a valuable tool for organizational development.

But traditional methods of gathering time information are awkward, unfriendly and inaccurate. Paper based systems are very interruptive to conduct, and direct observation is intrusive.

Our activity measurement system represents a major breakthrough that creates a win-win situation for the entire company.

Our consulting programs reflect a philosophy that the human dimension of work is an important complement to the technology people use and the training they receive.

THE SOLUTION

The Pace Productivity activity measurement and improvement program is a user-friendly, accurate approach to gathering data from employees. It also creates action plans for immediate improvement.

The key is that employees track their own time using the easy-to-use electronic TimeCorder.

This electronic device allows the user to easily track time by pushing buttons associated with pre-coded activities. Each time a new button is pressed, time stops recording on the previous activity and begins recording on a new one, like a chess clock in reverse. After two weeks of tracking, we analyze the results and compare them to our extensive database.

Response to the TimeCorder is overwhelmingly enthusiastic because:

Employees are asked to help determine the activities to be tracked.

The TimeCorder is easy to use, non-intimidating and accurate

Participants are in control of their own time tracking, and consultants are absent.

Users see their own results on the TimeCorder as they go

Users are given a summary of their own results at the end of the program.
